Where does the data come from?
All ocean and weather data comes directly from NOAA's National Data Buoy Center (NDBC), the gold standard for marine environmental monitoring.
How often is data updated?
Good Buoy refreshes data every 10 minutes automatically. You can also pull to refresh at any time for the latest reading.
Can I use Good Buoy for navigation?
No. Good Buoy is an informational tool only and should not be used for navigation. Always rely on official nautical charts and proper navigation instruments.
Which stations are supported?
Good Buoy includes 122 curated NOAA buoy stations across the Great Lakes, Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic, and Pacific coasts.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account → Settings → Delete Account in the app, or email us at support@goodbuoy.co.
